Welcome to Arts & Sciences in the Barony of Twin Moons!      The purpose of Arts & Sciences activities in the SCA is to foster the development of the historical accuracy and/or information of Arts and Sciences by helping organize competitions, exhibitions, demonstrations, classes, workshops, publications and guilds. We feel that the most important responsibility is communication with artisans, so that everyone gets the help and recognition they need.      If you plan an arts and sciences related gathering (period cooking, candle making, leatherwork, sewing, cloak making etc. etc.) then please inform me, your Arts and Sciences Officer or my able Deputies, so that I can get it on the calendar and email the list to promote your offering. If you need help, please ask me, I may be able to come up with various resources, including class space, if needed. I have recently become your Minister of Arts and Sciences, and hope to do my best, along with the help of my deputies, to promote the Arts and Sciences in Twin Moons in the coming year. To that end, I will be offering classes myself (leatherworking, chain making, etc., see Schedule Below) at my apartment and at events (including the upcoming Estrella War). I will also be pushing folks to offer classes of their own. We have a diverse and talented group of individuals in this barony, and I realize a few are a bit shy about offering a class. I plan on convincing folks that it is a lot of fun to offer classes, and deeply appreciated by those that attend. Additionally, I wish to try to increase participation in these classes, so I will be sending emails to those on the twin moons mailing list, (and to any other email address folks wish me to use). I will also be keeping a list of updated/upcoming classes below for folks to enjoy. If you wish to research a particular topic or project, please let the Arts and Science officer/deputies know, so that we can point you to the people in the Barony most likely to be able to help you in your endeavors. I shall do my utmost to promote the Arts and Sciences within the Barony, and please, let me know what you think, your suggestions, anything that can help in making the Arts and Sciences fun and accessible to everyone.
