After a thoroughly confusing talk with Jarik and Michael, Chimera leaves the tree to look for a certain elf.
Delachiel greets the old acquaintance with a nod, eyeing him carefully. ~~You look good.~~
Chimera turns to the voice and smiles. "How've you been, Delachiel?"
The dark Xardeth grins shrugs with a grin. ~~Not too bad, really. I was quite surprised to meet you here.~~
Chimera says, "Oh? Did you miss me?"
Delachiel smiles. ~~How does it feel to be so autonomous? Or is Kainudy or your mother or sister around?~~
Chimera says, "I'm pretty much on my own, although Kainudy is on Tharhome."
Delachiel seems surprised. ~~With all the felitaurs. My...~~ She falls silent for a while. ~~How did it feel to see me?~~
Chimera smiles, "Warm. But you're wearing your veils again. Why?"
Delachiel smiles and nods. ~~I think warm is good. Overall or somewhere in particular?~~
Chimera blinks, "Overall."
Delachiel nods again. ~~This world has legends about black-skinned, skinny, furless, pointy-eared beings like myself. They are not pleasant legends.~~
Chimera arches and eyebrow and steps closer, "Are they true?"
Delachiel shrugs. ~~Haven't been here before. I suspect they have a seed of truth, but I may be wrong. It could just be coincidence. There aren't too many furless beings in this world to begin with. Or rather, smooth-skinned.~~
Chimera says, "Michael is human."
~~He is also not from this world.~~
Chimera says, "What have you been doing? Are you in trouble?"
Delachiel leans back against the tree. ~~Not much... Scrounging up a living, although some of the jewels I had seem to be pretty valuable here. Not too much trouble, not.~~ She tilts her head and grins a bit. ~~Would you expect me to get in trouble?~~
Chimera smiles and nods.
Chimera says, "You seem the type that enjoys trouble. :}"
An amused smile plays on the dark lips. ~~I see. And what about yourself? What kind of a person have your experiences formed?~~
Chimera says, "I think I'm a little more confident."
~~That's good. And what have you been doing, and perhaps more interestingly, plan to do?~~
Chimera says, "I've been exploring with Charon, mostly."
~~Oh? What's Charon like? Are you looking for something, or just spending time?~~
Chimera says, "Well, I need to find out what this world is like."
~~Why's that?~~
Chimera smiles, "That's what exploring is all about. :}"
Delachiel brushes her hair back from her shoulders. She's let it grow, so it now reaches to the middle of her back.
Delachiel chuckles. ~~A dangerous, but intriguing trait, curiosity. And occasionally a pleasurable one.~~
Chimera tilts his head, "Occasionally?"
~~You've grown up a lot, indeed.~~
Chimera smiles proudly and swishes his tail. :}
~~Would you like to tell me about things you've learned since we parted? I guess I'm curious too.~~
Chimera hmms. "I've learned a lot about stelya-rhyan biology and star travel and such. Most of the worlds I've helped survey in this area are lifeless."
Delachiel smirks a bit and nods. ~~In ten years or so you're going to make me feel like a little girl who doesn't know much.~~
Chimera says, "Really? You know a lot more about useful things than I do."
~~At the moment. And... Well, I occasionally have my doubts. I mean, they're useful, but are they valuable... But you didn't come here to listen to my self-pity.~~
Chimera says, "Will you be able to show me around when things calm down? Or will you be leaving for other worlds?"
The elfess looks suddenly tired, and her voice fades a little. ~~I don't know. I... I don't feel comfortable with traveling between worlds. I have this nagging feeling that something very bad is going to happen if I keep doing it.~~ She sighs. ~~But then again... In a world of elves and humans hiding was much easier than here. I don't really know what there is for me to do in this one.~~ She places her hand on your shoulder as she continues, with more of a smile, ~~But I'd be glad to show you what I've discovered so far.~~
Chimera smiles. "Thank you, Delachiel. :}"
