Welcome to the world of frames. Realize that people seem to either love frames or hate frame, very little inbetween. Personally, I have seen some great use of frames pages, but prefer to use tables when I can.

Advantages of Frames

• Allows you to keep a "Menu" on all your pages easily
• Creates some neat effects, such as clicking in a frame and the content appears in another frame on the same page
• Some cool scrolling effects

Disadvantages of Frames

• You have to remeber to "right click" and "Add to bookmark" in a frame you want to bookmark, otherwise you keep bookmarking the main frames page
• You can only print one Frame at a time, not the whole page
• Frames with no borders make bookmarking and printing even harder
• If you are not careful, you can "Trap" content, making it look like someone else's site is your own. A legal no no.

          Some advice on help with frames pages. To see how this one is organized, go to "view" and click on either "page source" or "document source" (depending on netscape version) to see how the frames page is set up. Then click somewhere inside the left border menu (green area) and go to "View" and then "frame source" to see some of the options you can use with "targets" for frame windows.
