MERCHANT INFORMATION
Baron's War VIII will be held this year on the fourth weekend of November (20th - 23rd) at the Schnepf Farms Festival Site in Queen Creek, AZ. The site will open at noon on Friday the 20th and
will close at noon on Monday the 23rd. Merchants only will be allowed on site at 10am on the 20th to set up their spaces and will have until 2pm on Monday the 23rd to exit the site. Directions to the site are as follows:
Vehicles will be allowed on the grassy areas for set-up; however, we are requiring that all vehicles be parked in one of the designated parking areas after set-up is completed.
There will be absolutely no selling of items outside of the merchant area; exceptions being a.) A merchant is invited into a specific campsite by those occupying it; or, b.) A merchant is requested by the autocrats to merchant in an area outside of the d
esignated merchant area.
Please be advised that there is very little artificial lighting available on site and no permanent shade in the merchant area. Each merchant will need to provide his or her own lighting and shade.

Pinal County Department of Public Health
A Limited number of R.V. spaces are available on site for a fee of 20$/day. These spaces include electrical, water, and sewage hookups, and are available to populace and merchants alike on a first come-first served basis. Merchants interested in renting
the RV space should contact the autocrats. The RV spaces are apart from the merchant area, thus merchanting will not be permitted from these spaces.
Tables will be available at a rental fee of $5.00 per table, per day.

Baron's War Merchant Agreement
The Merchant, in signing this Agreement, agrees to abide by the conditions set forth in this Agreement, and by all the directions of the Main Autocrat and the Merchant Autocrat. The Main Autocrats, the Merchant Autocrat and their appointed deputies will monitor all rules during the event, notifying the Merchant(s) of any infraction of those rules, asking that any violations be corrected. The Merchant acknowledges being an independent operator, and that neither they nor their agents or employees shall have any authority to contract for or incur any liability or obligation on behalf of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Baron's War VIII or the Schnepf Farms Festival Site, or any of their agents, and will indemnify the above entities against any and all claims that may be made against them due to the activities of the Merchant. The Merchant shall be responsible for any costs, expenses, at torney's fees or judgements incurred by the entities mentioned above in this paragraph, due to the Merchant's activities. The Merchant agrees to comply with the civil laws and the Baron's War VIII Site Rules and Regulations governing any activities and/or sales at Baron's War VIII. If the merchant fails to comply with said rules, or with any portion of this Agreement, the Main Autocrats and/or Merchant Autocrat may, upon notification, take immediate steps which in their sole judgement may be necessary to protect the interests of Baron's War VIII, including but not limited to the closing of said Merchant's selling site, re moval of the Merchant's sales materials, removal of Merchant from the Baron's War VIII site and halting of Merchant's activities on the premises of the Schnepf Farms Festival Site without refund of any fees to the Merchant. Merchant set-up will begin no earlier than 10 am on Friday, November 20, 1998. Merchants will, by 2pm on Monday, November 23, 1998 remove all equipment, supplies, sales items, packing materials and trash from the booth and premises. Areas will be left in a clean and orderly condition. Merchants planning to leave the site earlier than Monday, November 23, 1998 must notify the Merchant Autocrat in advance so that appropriate arrangements may be made. Merchant takes full responsibility for maintenance of their sales area, keeping it clean and supplying the necessary materials for operation. Please note that no open flames are allowed. All fires must be above ground and contained.
Agents of the Main Autocrats or the Merchant Autocrat may inspect sales area at any time. The Merchant Autocrat reserves the right to demand removal of any sales item deemed unsuitable, in their opinion, for sale at Baron's War VIII. Use of, sale of, or d isplay of any illegal materials of any kind will result in the total cancellation of this Agreement, closure of the sales area and forfeiture of all fees paid at Baron's War VIII. Everyone connected with Merchant's area is considered to be party to this Agreement and will abide by these rules, those of the Schnepf Farms Festival Site and the Baron's War VIII Site Rules and Regulations. This includes helpers, assistants, family and minors in the company of the undersigned. In order to be eligible for refunds of Merchant Fees, all cancellations must be made in written form sent directly to the Merchant Autocrat. Letters must be postmarked no later than November 10, 1998. All other refunds (due to cancellation or for any othe r reasons) will be made at the discretion of the Main Autocrats and the Merchant Autocrat. By signing this Agreement the Merchant agrees; that the staff and personnel of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Baron's War VIII, Schnepf Farms Festival Site and their agents are not responsible for injuries, loss, damage to person or property, and to abide by all decisions and requests of the Main Autocrats and Merchant Autocrat in regard to personal display and conduct during Baron's War VIII. The undersigned hereby acknowledges that all parties connected with the Merchant's space(s) have carefully read and completely understand the Merchant's Agreement for Baron's War VIII and agree to all the provisions herein.

It is our pleasure to invite your attendance, as a merchant, to the 8th. annual Barons War. We as autocrats recognize you as a key factor in the ambiance and enjoyment of the event for many membe rs of the populace. To this end we welcome all who wish to merchant their wares. Many exciting changes have been planned for Baron's War VIII. The Site will be at the Schnepf Farms festival site in Cave Creek, Arizona (Just south and East of the Phoenix Metropolis). Also, the war will be held later in the year on November 20th-22nd, 1998. With these changes we are expecting cooler weather conditions, improved ambiance, and more hospitable camping than previous years.
