We, the Territorial Barons and Baronesses of Atenveldt, are pleased to send Warm Greetings unto the populace of Our Great Kingdom, As you know, the Baronies in our Fair Land join together each year to host a fighting event called Baron's War. For the last several years, this war has been held on the first or second weekend in October. And although the event is autocrated by a different sponsoring Barony each year, it has been held at the Pima County Fairground in the Barony of Tir Ysgithr for the last five years. After careful review, we are pleased to announce the following decisions:
Under the traditional rotation, the Barony of Twin Moons is assigned autocrat responsibility for 1998. Under these new guidelines, the Baron and Baroness of Twin Moons presented evaluations of three sites (one in Mons Tonitrus, one in Tir Ysgithr and one in Twin Moons) at a meeting at the 1997 Devonshire Ren Faire. The sponsoring Baronies then selected the Schnepf Farms Festival Site as the site for the 1998 Baron's War. The changes implemented for 1998 Baron's War are in direct response to issues brought to the sponsoring Baronies by the populace. If these changes do not improve the populace's enjoyment of the war, additional changes will be made in 1999. Please share your comments and questions about Baron's War with your local Baron and Baroness, or write directly to the 1998 autocrats. Address, phone and email information for all the Territorial Barons and Baronesses are in the Regnum. We remain Barons and Baronesses in Fealty to the Crown and Kingdom of Atenveldt (listed in order of traditional Autocrat rotation),
Dietrich and Ynez, Baron and Baroness of Twin Moons |
